Escape Windows Save Lives

Escape or Egress windows can not only save your life, they are necessary to be in compliance with residential building codes.

Nu-View is a full service maintenance and alteration contractor, offering a complete basement finishing experience - up to and including the installation of egress windows. Besides beautifing your basement by letting in additional natural light, our egress window systems comply with all State and Federal building requirements.

Emergency Exit Egress Windows

According to the International Residential Code (IRC) 2003 lower level egress requirements, egress windows and wells are required under the following circumstances:

  • If you add a bedroom in an unfinished basement, an egress window must be installed in the bedroom.
  • If you create a habitable space in your basement other than a bedroom and you currently do not have an egress window, one must be included with the installation of the habitable room.
Remember, fire can spread rapidly through a home, leaving as little as two minutes to escape safely. In the event of a fire or emergency, family members have the ability to escape out of the basement quickly through Nu-Views' egress windows and wells.

Our egress windows swing in for easy cleaning and easy exit.

Our Egress System  includes windows and well with cap cover to provide beauty and safety to your basement refinishing project.

Egress Window Wells

Nuview is an authorized dealer for the premiere egress window well available in many sizes to accomodate every project and custom colors as well.  Using window wells in your finished basement brings natural sunlight into your living space and gives you a clean maintenance free alternative to the standard messy window wells on the exterior of your home.

Typical window wells are messy and unsafe for children and pets.

Our window well keeps your window neat and clean and the tempered safety glass top is safe for children and pets.
